Pam Scott

Company: The Curious Company

Title: Founder

Country: USA

Sector: Design & Philanthropy

Pam Scott is the founder of the Curious Company, a collective of scientists and creative professionals who specialize in making it easier for individuals to adopt new, beneficial beliefs and behaviors.

A designer by training, Scott is passionate about conducting research and developing solutions in and with communities. She has a sweet spot for leading multi-disciplinary collaborations that unlock the creative potential of groups and individuals – all with the purpose of developing radically fresh solutions to big, entrenched problems. She has been a thought partner to Nike, Levi’s, Unilever, and MINI Cooper, as well as IDEO.org (for which she serves as a founding board member), PSI, and the Smithsonian Institution. She’s worked with marginalized communities and front-line NGOs domestically and around the globe. Most recently, Scott has been focused on improving the lives of women and girls, bringing the practice of Human Centered Design to the challenge of unintended teen pregnancy in Sub-Saharan Africa, with the goal of making sure girls everywhere have the resources to decide when and with whom they first become mothers.

Pam Scott frequently lectures about the intersection of design and social innovation, including engagements at the Aspen Institute, Clinton Global Initiative, Women Deliver, Harvard University’s Kennedy School and, for the past decade, Stanford D.School.
